Little did Karl Benz, the German automobile engineer and inventor of world’s first gasoline-powered Motorwagen, imagine that his humble model would give way to some of the most expensive and stunning cars in future. Back then his car featured wire wheels instead of the wooden ones, a four-stroke engine between the rear wheels powered by an extremely advanced coil ignition and evaporative cooling. 1885 is when Karl Benz finished his dream car and called it Benz Patent Motorwagen. This being the first version was slightly difficult to control; in fact the car collided with a wall during a public demonstration!
